Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) is a system of schools in India that provide free education to talented students from rural areas. The JNVs are co-educational and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Entrance Exam pattern for Class 6th admission is as follows:

1. The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based) and consists of three sections - Mental Ability Test, Arithmetic Test, and Language Test.
2. The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
3. The exam paper is of objective type, which means that each question will have multiple options to choose from, and candidates have to select the correct option. 4. The exam paper will be available in 21 languages - Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English, Garo, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Khasi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Mizo, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sindhi (Arabic), Sindhi (Devanagari), Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
5. The total marks for the exam are 100, and there is no negative marking for wrong answers
6. The distribution of marks for each section is as follows:
a. Mental Ability Test - 40 marks b. Arithmetic Test - 20 marks c. Language Test - 40 marks
7. The Mental Ability Test measures a candidate's reasoning ability, thinking power, and problem-solving skills.
8. The Arithmetic Test evaluates a candidate's mathematical skills and includes questions on basic arithmetic, fractions, decimals, and percentage.
9. The Language Test assesses a candidate's proficiency in English and Hindi and includes questions on grammar, comprehension, and vocabulary.
10. Candidates who clear the JNV Entrance Exam will be called for the next round of the selection process, which includes document verification and a medical examination.
