Karnataka SA-2 Revised Time Table 2026 for Class 6, 7, 8 & 9 – DSERT Official Update

The Department of State Educational Research and Training (DSERT), Karnataka has officially released the revised time table for the Summative Assessment-2 (SA-2) examinations for the academic year 2025-26. This important update is applicable to students studying in Classes 6, 7, 8, and 9 in Karnataka schools. The revised schedule was issued through an official circular dated 09 March 2026, providing updated exam dates, timings, and subject-wise schedules.

According to the revised schedule, the SA-2 examinations will begin on 24 March 2026 and continue until 06 April 2026 across government, aided, and unaided schools in the state. Schools are instructed to follow the timetable strictly and conduct the examinations as per the guidelines issued by DSERT.

Exam Timings

The exam duration and timings vary slightly depending on the class level.

For Classes 6 and 7, the examinations will be conducted from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with a total duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Each subject carries 40 marks.

For Class 8 students, the exam will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a duration of 2 hours. Each paper will carry 50 marks.

For Class 9 students, the examinations will start at 11:00 AM and end either at 2:15 PM or 2:00 PM, depending on the subject. These exams will carry 80 to 100 marks, and the duration ranges between 3 hours and 3 hours 15 minutes.

Karnataka SA-2 Exam Time Table March 2026 (Class 6-9)

The Department of State Educational Research and Training (DSERT), Karnataka has released the official schedule for Summative Assessment-2 (SA-2) exams for Classes 6, 7, 8, and 9 in government and aided schools.

According to the circular, the exams will be conducted from 20 March 2026 onwards with subject-wise schedules and different marks distribution depending on the class level.

Class 6 & 7 SA-2 Exam Time Table 2026

Students of Class 6 and Class 7 will have exams of 40 marks for each subject.

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM (1 hour 30 minutes)
